This week we’re switching gears a little, by taking ourselves out of the metaphysical and into a more practical aspect of manifesting. This is a quick read but I hope a helpful one ;)
So you’ve been trying manifest more money, but there’s no more money in the bank
You know manifesting, so you know that in order to manifest something you have to embody the feeling that you already have it. So it follows that to be wealthy you have to embody the feeling of abundance and wealth, which you cannot do if your money habits are the same as they were yesterday.
Are you treating your money like you’re broke?
Just ask yourself the following questions:
Do you buy things you don’t need?
Do you live beyond your means?
Do you have anxiety spending money even on essential things?
Do you have no idea what’s in your bank account?
Are you always reluctant to offer to pay for something?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, it means that you have a broke mentality. Which is obviously normal because when you have no money, these behaviours usually follow. But it is possible to get yourself to the state of feeling wealthy (without spending a penny) so that you can attract wealth into you life.
How do I fix my broke person thoughts and actions?
It is really important to understand that you cannot attract wealth when your thoughts, feelings, actions, words and ultimately energy, embody those of a broke person. Don’t be mad at yourself if you are doing this, you just learned it, but you can unlearn it to. Here’s how:
Live below your means - you will immediately feel more abundant by not going backwards every month.
Use the Cash envelope system - organise your expenses into categories. Withdraw the total amount of money from your bank and then divide up the categories by putting cash into the envelopes, e.g. groceries, gas, going out. Doing this will take the anxiety out of spending and prevent impulse buying.
Save - even it’s just a small amount every month. This way when you are affirming to yourself “I have savings”, “I manage my money well” etc, you won’t be lying to yourself and you will be more aligned with feeling of being wealthy.
Thank your money and look forward to it returning - One of the biggest resistance areas most people have with attracting more money is that they are almost allergic to it, indicative of how they react when receiving and using it. Money has it’s own energy so to cultivate a good relationship with it treat it well. Thank it when it comes, thank it when you spend it, and ask it to come back with more. (This last part I learned from Ken Honda, author of Happy Money).
Pay down your debt before anything else - Nothing will keep you feeling as broke as having debt does. So before anything else, make it a priority to aggressively pay down your debt. Weirdly you’ll realise that paying off debt will feel far more rewarding than buying random stuff from Amazon, or ordering Uber Eats every night.
I used to have constant anxiety when spending money, even when I had the money and/or when it was on essential things, but changing my habits around money, and they way I think about money, dramatically changed this around. Having a good relationship with your money gets addictive, and you can start all of these things without 1 extra dollar in the bank!
